Georgetown Hoyas vs. West Virginia Mountaineers - Recap - January 07, 2012 - ESPN

Ah YEAH! Let’s GOOOO Mountaineers! I think the Orange Bowl beat down has inspired the Bball team. Good recovery after the Seton Hall debacle!

Jones becoming a force

Doesn’t it look like a different, much more comfortable Kevin Jones running around out there on the floor this year?

It certainly does to me. Jones scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds last night against an Akron front line that is probably the best he’s faced so far this year. The Zips boasted a legitimate shot blocker in 7-foot Zeke Marshall and a 6-foot-8 forward in Nikola Cvetinovic who played on the Serbian National Team in last summer’s World University Games…..

All-Time Big East Dream Team - Volvo Biggest Fan of The Big East Challenge 1

The first challenge of the Biggest Fan in the Big East contest sponsored by Volvo is to come up with our All-Time Big East Dream Team.

I wanted to get the input of everyone out there that follows us on here, facebook and twitter to come up with this team and I think we have our Dream Team!

I originally had some classic players like Jerry West and Hot Rod Hudley on the team, but some fans on Facebook pointed out that these guys didn’t play in the Big East so it wouldn’t be fair to have them on the Dream Team. So I’m going to keep this more of a modern day team…

1. KEVIN PITTSNOGLE One of the most exciting players to ever wear the Old Gold n Blue. He came out of no where in 2005 and help upset PITT and the rest is history! YOU BEEN PITTSNOGLED!!!!!

2. Da’Sean Butler - No one can forget Da’Sean and Huggins in the Final Four a couple of years ago. This kid is all heart and deserves to always be mentioned when talking about a DREAM TEAM.

3. Frank Young - In 2007 when WVU got boned and left out of the NCAA Tournament Frank and the boys just decided to show everyone how wronged they were by kicking everyone’s arse in the NIT Tournament. Granted not as nice as winning the Big Dance but we proved a point.

4. Joe Alexander - Alexander finished his junior season leading the team with 16.9 points per game and 6.4 rebounds per game. Alexander was second on the team with 1.5 blocks per game and third with 2.4 assists per game and 31.6 minutes played per game. He finished the NCAA Tournament by averaging 18 points and 9.6 rebounds per game.

5. Devin Ebanks - Not much more I can say about the awesomeness of Ebanks that this video doesn’t already say.

Biggest Fan in (of) the Big East contest sponsored by VOLVO

So I’m part of this Basketball Season long contest called the Biggest Fan of the Big East that is sponsored every year by Volvo

Every couple of weeks during the season we (the contestants, 1 blogger/social media influencer per team - 16 total) are met with a challenge… or something to blog about.

The first challenge came this weekend:

Pick your All-Time Big East Dream Team and why? (12 player max) Can be old and current players from any Big East team.

I want to make this fun for everyone that follows us. So I’d love to get your input on these challenges. This first one is interesting as all I want to do is put WVU players on this team. Do you have any suggestions on who you would put on your ALL TIME BIG EAST/WVU Team? and why?

I will be posting our team sometime this evening, so feel free to comment who you would add.
